This blog post is about 7 Areas in Your Home That Need Deep Cleaning.

There are a few areas in the home that are often neglected. Whether you live in a small apartment, a regular-sized home, or a huge home, these are areas that need to be cleaned once a month or at least quarterly. It’s areas in the house where you might not even think need cleaning.

After all, a clean home is a stress-free and happy home!

7 Areas In Your Home That Need To Be Deep Cleaned

Baseboard Trim

There are three methods for cleaning your house Trim.

Method #1: Using a Scrub Daddy Damp Duster

When cleaning your baseboard trim, using a Scrub Daddy Damp Duster is the way to go. All you need to do is get your Scrub Daddy Damp Duster wet and wipe away at your Trim.

Method #2: Using a Clorox Toilet Wand

Using a Clorox ToiletWand is great for white baseboard trim. More often than not, there will be some streaks and/or dust, which the Clorox ToiletWand can take care of right away.

Method #3: Using A Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

Using a Damp Mr. Clean Magic Eraser for white Trim is another one of my all-time favorite simple methods. Especially for areas that are highly trafficked and have scuff marks using a magic eraser will get completely rid of it with minor effort.

Deep Cleaning Your Washer

You will need Power Dawn Dish Spray (or your favorite), vinegar, and baking soda for your washer. I recommend using the Power Dawn Dish Spray because it will make getting soap in all areas of your washer easier.

The first thing you want to do is remove the area where you pour your detergent and fabric softener. Give them a good scrub in your sink to remove all the gunk on them. Next, you want to either spray the entire inside washer with Power Dawn Dish Soap or apply a small amount on your microfiber towel or Scrub Daddy Sponge. Finally, with a wet Scrub Daddy Sponge or a Microfiber Towel, scrub the entire tub & the inside of the washer.

”Once you have completed that, put ½ a cup of baking soda at the bottom of the tub. Next, fill the bleach area with vinegar and run your washer on“Sanitar” or“Self Cleaning,” whichever one your washer says. “Once you have completed that, put ½ a cup of baking soda at the bottom of the tub. Deep Cleaning Your Dryer

Cleaning your Dryer should be something you do every month. For one, not cleaning it properly can become a huge fire hazard.

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) reports that dryers and washing machines cause an average of 15,970 fires each year, with dryers causing 92% of them” – Google“The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) reports that dryers and washing machines cause an average of 15,970 fires each year, with dryers causing 92% of them” – Google

You want to start by removing your lint tray and cleaning all the lint off. If your vacuum has a small attachment, start vacuuming the inside where the lint tray goes. You can also go to your outside vent and, with a vent cleaner drill attachment, clean that out too.

Deep Cleaning Your Refrigerator

There are three areas regarding your refrigerator that need to be deep cleaned. The first one is inside. You can start by taking everything out and throwing away anything bad. After all your produce is out of the refrigerator, use your favorite disinfectant and spray it all over. With a damp microfiber cloth, clean all the areas of the refrigerator.

The second area that needs cleaning is under the refrigerator. The bottom of your refrigerator collects so much dust and lint. Move your refrigerator until you are able the vacuum and mop the entire area under your refrigerator.

The vents at the bottom front of your refrigerator are the third area that needs to be cleaned. If it’s not cleaned, it can become clogged with dust making your refrigerator work harder to get cool.

Deep Cleaning Your Stove/ Oven

Method #1: Easy Off Oven Cleaner (MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE)

Easy Off is the easiest cleaning method that I’ve found to clean your stovetop and oven. You can spray it on and leave it overnight, or you can spray it on and leave it for 20 minutes. One thing to keep in mind is this cleaner is very strong, so make sure you have great ventilation. I would also recommend using a mask with suitable latex gloves.

Deep Cleaning Your Garbage Disposal

Method #1: Use a Garbage disposal cleaning tablet

The easiest way to clean your garbage disposal is by buying Disposal Cleaner Powder Pack.

Method #2: You will need baking soda, vinegar, soap, and hot water

If you don’t want to go the powder route, then you will need baking soda, vinegar, and soap. Start by turning on your faucet to the hottest temperature. After that, let it run for at least 15 seconds to ensure it’s the hottest water you can get. After that, shut your water off, add about 1 tablespoon of soap, ¼ cup of baking soda, and lastly, add your vinegar. Let it foam for about a minute. After that, turn on your garbage disposal and then your hot water again. Rinse any residue, clean the top part of your sink, and your garbage disposal is squeaky clean again!

Deep Cleaning Your Dishwasher

Your dishwasher might be one that is highly neglected because it’s often thought that it cleans itself. If you start to realize that your dishwasher isn’t cleaning your dishes properly, then it’s probably time to give it a good deep cleaning.

Start by removing the racks completely. On the bottom of your dishwasher, remove the spray arm, filter, and the big plastic filter. In soapy water, wash and rinse the gunk out of the filters and spray arm. Clean the inside and the door. Insert a tablet or a liquid cleaner and run it on the hottest setting. After this, your dishes should come out looking squeaky clean!

Conclusion

Cleaning these areas of your home at least once a month will not only make your home feel clean but it will also smell very clean! Investing in the right products can also help you make your deep cleaning easier!
